March
Happy month of March everybody! It is nice to think that spring will be here pretty soon. This winter was very nice to us in this part of the world but I miss the flowers and the birds, the sunshine and the bike rides.
Today I had a quiet day off work in the company of our pets.It was not a very productive day, just a relaxing one.Actually while watching my favourite talk shows I made two Martenitsas. It is a Bulgarian tradition when people give each other little creations made out of red and white yarn in the beginning of March. The red color is a symbol of health, the white of prosperity. It is like you wish your loved ones have all the health and prosperity in their lives. You can see my Martenitsas in the first picture.

Bye,bye,August! Hello,September!
It seems to me August passed by so fast. It was a busy one for us or it seemed to me like a busy one. It was full of celebrations and things that had to be taken care of. A late graduation party for my step son, an early birthday celebration for my daughter, school supplies shopping, school clothes shopping ,long awaited going to the movies to see the One Direction movie/Yes, she is a fan!/,sleepovers, taking care of my little veggie patch, harvesting the produce , cleaning after the Guinea pigs and playing with them, bike rides and reading aloud The Little House On The Prairie and so many other activities that come with the sweet summer time and the school vacation.
But this time is over now and she is /almost/ready for school. But I am not ready for the fall yet. This year the summer was kind of short and I would not mind some more warm and sunny days.

Water
At the last moment I realized that there was water in every picture I posted here. I guess I wish I could have some relaxing days by the water but well, may be the next time. Otherwise the life goes on with its little ups and downs. Wonderful weather, more time outdoors, bored child, who spends too much time on the computer, sleepovers, work, rest, family bike rides, small health problems that ended well. I wish I could travel more though...

Snow in May !
It is funny to post pictures with snow in May but this was the reality. The snow fell on May 2 and yesterday it went snowing in and out mixed with rain. This is the strangest spring ever. Two or three days before the snow we had 83 degrees F.It felt almost like summer. We had fun outdoors,I took pictures of the first flowers in our garden,we visited Grandma and Grandpa and the beautiful Sophie,a sweet rescue dog they were babysitting for a week.

Spring...finally!
The lost spring finally found us.It was so warm and spring like yesterday. The day was full of outdoor fun and a lot of first time things happened. For the first time we went on a long bike ride, eight miles. It was Hurby's first time outdoors for this year and Scruffy's first time out in his entire life.He was a little bit scared at the beginning but then he loved it and was hopping around the pen from joy.Yesterday I spotted the first miniature irises in our garden.Pretty!

Post cards from July
It is almost over, this beautiful, hot and exciting month of July. But we will remember it with all the fun and joy we had and the important things that happened to us,especially to me.A trip to the Cities bringing an important change in my life, bike rides down the bike trail, going to the movies with my girl and her friend, movie theater popcorn and candy,a stroll along the Mississippi River in the highest of the heat, ice cream at a cafe, going to the swimming pool, arts and crafts market. There is a lot of things to remember about this sweet month of July. But let's not close the last page of it because there are six more days left.Who knows what they are going to bring?
