Belated Valentine talk

My daughter made that awesome collage on the paper bag for her Valentines at school. It is so cool. She really rocks.I hope you had a wonderful Valentine.

#33,34 and 35

All three of them were completed at work during my morning break, instead of reading the morning paper.I used ball point pen, pencil or ink pen.Twitched them at home here and there, adding a watercolor wash for example.

#30,31 and 32

#30 was completed with watercolor crayons.I used a local newspaper as a reference for it.#31 was completed with ink and watercolors ,the reference was from an old foreign newspaper.#32 was inspired by magazine J-14 again, ink and watercolors.
So,with these three sketches I finished the ones for the month of January and started February.I am proud of myself for not giving up in the first month.I've read somewhere that people give up on their New Years resolutions by the end of January.

#26 and 27

For these two sketches I used some of my personal photos for a reference.I saw those two girls at the parade last summer.I used colored pencils and watercolors.Did you notice that the paper I drew the ballerina girl on has wrinkled?Yes,this is paper for sketching and does not tolerate even a slight watercolor wash.Too bad because I like this sketch a lot.Well, you learn every day.
I am kind of late with the posting but I am doing pretty good with keeping up with the challenge.I am getting much better at building a habit to sketch every day.

Two-face-snowmen

It is such a beautiful and cold winter day today. The sun broke through the clouds finally.Everything looks so bright and festive bathing in the warm shine of the sun.
Oh,I am so sorry I forgot my camera at home this morning when I took my girl to school.
I did not know I was missing the sun light so much.
Well, maybe a little bit later I will be able to take some pictures but now I am going to post a couple old pictures.I think it was on Christmas day.My daughter and I made a snowman with two faces. One facing the street and the other one
saying hi to the pedestrians.
