Spooky times
I do not care for Halloween too much but my daughter is obsessed with it. So she was the main driving force behind this year's Halloween decorating process .
I am so proud of my pumpkins. They grew up in my little garden. This year the experiment was successful!!! I started the pumpkin plants on a window sill in March. In May when I planted them outside they were already strong and healthy plants and no slugs could damage them. I was so happy watching them grow the whole summer. I could not believe how much joy and satisfaction a couple of plants could bring. I am so doing it again next summer.

*******
A busy Saturday fallowing the schedule of a young budding actress. The weather unpredictable: warm sunshine changed to cold and cloudy skies with a nasty wind and rain. Then sunny again with unexpected double rainbow. Till I get the camera the second one disappeared. A visit to the craft fair and getting ready for the 4 o'clock show. Stuffed peppers and apple crisp for supper. Delicious!!!
Then enjoying the last show with the actors relaxed, creative and very funny! They had fun on stage , we had fun watching them! A bouquet of white and pink roses for my talented Cat! They did a great job, my girl and her talented friends!

***
Just stopped by to say Hello. I feel a little bit under the weather. Could be because of the cold weather or because of some problems at work. The trees are pretty in their fall outfits but it is cloudy and windy outside. No fun. I am going to cook something worm and comforting for supper. Like country style chicken stew with potatoes and lots of vegetables. I am posting this overload of watercolor sketches because I bought a small box of watercolors for my daughter from Hobby Lobby two weeks ago. The brand was Yarka ,made in Russia and of course I had to try them.

Illustration Friday:Underwater
I was wondering if I should post the first one or not because it is not my cup of tea. Not my style at all.I was just experimenting with this kind of doodling and I was surprised how much fun I had.I felt liberated. The second one was completed straight with the brush.

Trip to Minnesota Zoo
I should have posted these pictures much earlier but well, the excuse is the same boring one: lack of time. We visited the Minnesota Zoo about two weeks ago, my family and a friend of my kid's. And believe me not only the kids had a blast! My husband and I had a wonderful time, too!The Minnesota Zoo is an amazing place to spend a whole day of your weekend at. They had all kinds of local and exotic animals from all over the world. I could not get enough of the tropical fish and their amazing colors but my all time favorite were the Russian brown Grisly bears from the region of Kamchatka. They were so entertaining we had hard time leaving their aria. Every time we were about to leave they would come out with another trick and we would go back to watch them. I am going to post more pictures of the bears in another post. I promise!

Illustration Friday:Onomatopoeia
This week's topic: Onomatopoeia. It apparently means imitating sounds in written form. So I wonder what does the fox say. Have you heard the song? My daughter's been crazy about it since she heard it on Ellen DeGeneres show. I am getting tired of it as she plays/and sings/ it every day. So, what does the fox say? Wapa pa pa pa pa papaw?
