Sketches from the airport-2
Some more sketches I did at the airport in Chicago while people watching and waiting for my next flight back in May.I can't forget that extremely sweet dog, so happy and well behaved.I wish I had such a cutie like her.

From my sketchbook
When travelling by plane a person wastes tons of time waiting at the airports. That's why I always bring a sketchbook with me.The sketches above were done at the Minneapolis and Chicago Airports and on the plane. As you can see it was in May when my daughter and I were on our way to Bulgaria.

Some sketches
Some random pages from my sketchbook. They are old from February.
They were inspired by pictures from Facebook and the Internet. Thanks to the photographers.
I am in a creative block at the moment and trying to bring back my inspiration looking at old staff of mine. The wonderful weather outside does not help very much.I take a lot of pictures but it feels not right not to draw.

My Winter Olympics
It is too sad that the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi are already over.During this endless and frigid winter they were like a ray of sunshine and joy for me.I love to watch winter sports especially figure skating and downhill skiing.I was glued to the TV whenever I had some time...or whenever my daughter would let me have the TV.I did some sketches while watching the games and also took some pictures from the TV mainly for reference. The opening and the closing ceremonies were epic. The Russians did a great job organizing the games although there were some concerns at the beginning.

Illustration Friday:WILD
My submission for this week's topic Wild is a simple study of a fox.I am not very good at drawing wild animals so this was one good opportunity to improve.I used a regular #2 pencil and watercolor pencils.

A quiet weekend at home. When it gets cold it is time to slow down. And it feels good.Just making home made pizza for my daughter's sleepover, watching the guinea pigs play, watching TV and reading blogs. And dreaming about a new camera!I hope soon! This illustration of mine was completed in the summer.Ink pen and watercolor pencils.

Drawings and mixed media - #161 and 162
I am almost there;at the end of presenting the drawings from the last year challenge that I could not complete. These two are more like experiments with mixed media, drawings with ink and watercolor pencils and collage on different kinds of paper. They are not dated but they were done in the second half of last year,so I left them to be the last ones, with a couple more which are going to come soon.

Starry night
Last night my step daughter,my daughter and I went outside to watch the meteor shower. The night sky was just gorgeous. Not even a cloud, just huge bright stars and the song of the crickets.
I could see one shooting star,my step daughter saw a couple only my little one could not see any.
She was sad but she still needs to learn a lot about patience.Anyway
she saw a lot of interesting things this night-The Big Dipper, several aeroplane lights, the light of a satellite and a baby frog.
This sketch is an attempt to draw my daughter drawing in her sketchbook. The resemblance is a little bit off. Here she looks older than she is actually.Watercolor pencils.

New items in my etsy shop
Today I was busy listing some greeting cards in my etsy shop. Both sets include two original /handmade/ cards and one printed one of design of my own. I really had fun creating them.I have more ideas and some more are coming to the shop.If you are wondering why I was out of sight for a while it was because our computer was crashed.I hacker,a virus,a computer recovery shop-it was a long story. Now everything is back to normal, thank god,and I am back again.
