On The Forth Day Of Blogging

On the forth day of blogging I am going to tell you about my experiments with pastels and brown wrapping paper. It was on my to-do-list for quite a long time.I got inspired by a girl on Etsy. She is a great artist and you can visit her shop/tushtush.etsy.com/ to see for yourself.
I painted these three things on the wrapping paper and just loved it.i love the texture of the paper and the natural color of the paper coming through the paints.i was so happy with the results that I already

framed the rose and hung it in my dining room.

If you are curious what this guy is carrying -he is a cotton candy seller at the Circus.I forgot to mention that the painting were 5x7 inches.

Ballerina

This is a sketch from my old art journal.Drown with ink pen Millennium in my journal made of recycled paper. The color of the paper was brown and I applied another wash of yellow and brown watercolor.
I am really frustrated that they stopped importing this kind of ink pens from Japan because they were very good quality and the price was very reasonable.I used to buy them from Hobby Lobby and Wal Mart, but now you cant find them anywhere.
Otherwise I am doing good.I am glad that finally the weather warmed up and we can stay outdoors and enjoy the fresh air and also go on a bike rides on regular basis.

A Portrait Of A Girl

Thank you to the contributor of the picture I found in the Image Library of Wet Canvas and used as a reference for this drawing.I did it a couple of weeks ago but forgot to post it.
This weekend I worked with watercolors but will post them when I have some time to upload them in my PC.

At The Park 2

This is another one of the series "At the park".I sketched it almost at the same time as the first one but it took me forever to paint it in color.I sketched it from life at the school park when I picked up my daughter from school. Here she is helping another girl to swing.I used an ink pen Millennium, watercolor pencils and a water brush.

At The Park

I drew this sketch at the beginning of this month.I went to pick up my daughter from school with the intention to take her for a walk as the fall day was wonderful, warm and bright. We could not go farther than the school park which was bursting with kids and parents enjoying the beautiful weather. When my little one went to play with the other kids I noticed this girl reading her book bathed by the bright afternoon sunshine and did a quick sketch of her.I used an ink pen Millennium to do the sketch and later at home I finished it with watercolor pencils and a water brush.

The Pair

This is a little piece with pastel on Strathmore paper. The image is 5 by 7.I decided it would be better to concentrate on small simple paintings till I get more familiar with the media.
Pears are my favourite kind of fruit and I also like to paint them because of their shape and color.I hope they look juicy and delicious to you too.
Actually I did this painting two weeks ago. I am kind of out of ideas and inspiration at the moment. Maybe because I fought a lingering cold for the last two weeks and on top of that I caught a pink eye from my daughter which was not fun either.
