Postcards from a weekend trip

It is grey and cloudy outside.It's been like this for the last two days.A sad reminder that the cold is coming with dull and dark days.I love snowy wintry days but when they a bathed in a lot of sunshine.The lack of light makes me depressed.
The pictures I am posting are from about two weeks ago.The fall Saturday was gorgeous like it was supposed to be.Warm and sunny with abundance of all the colors the fall can bring.My family and I went on a short trip antiquing around in the nearest little towns.We stopped to take pictures every time we saw a beautiful view.Nowadays even my husband is contaminated with the photo bug.He got himself his own camera and competes with me who is going to take a better picture.Sometimes he takes a really good ones!

The most beautiful autumn

This is the most beautiful autumn I have ever experienced.I can't have enough of it.Wonderful mild weather with a lot of sunshine  perfect for walks with a camera in hand.The colors are unbelievable this fall;from warm green and light yellow to deep orange and flaming red.I took multiple walks in the woods and around town to enjoy the pretty scenery.As being a little bit stressed out at work at the moment,who doesn't,this beauty feels like a balm for my soul.I hope the good weather stays longer to keep the leaves on the trees.The yard decorations in the fourth picture are not mine.I took this picture when I went leaf watching around town last week.And the river in the fifth picture is the Mississippi River.Just the picture turned out good and I would like to share it with you.

October!!!...Already...?

I can't believe it is October already!But it seems to me I say it every time a season or a month changes.Time flies so fast isn't it?It is real fall now with all its glamour.I think I already mentioned that before,it is my favorite season.I love its gorgeous colors and light,especially when the sun shines.
And it is such fun to ride your bike down the bike trail through the fall colored woods!!!I love the foggy mornings when the fog creates such magical images.I love the fall because it's the time when the school starts with all kinds of activities and there is no bored kids in the house anymore.And also the soup season begins!!!!I looove me some beef soup with cabbage,potatoes and looots of carrots!

A busy Saturday fallowing the schedule of a young budding actress. The weather unpredictable: warm sunshine changed to cold and cloudy skies with a nasty wind and rain. Then sunny again with unexpected double rainbow. Till I get the camera the second one disappeared. A visit to the craft fair and getting ready for the 4 o'clock show. Stuffed peppers and apple crisp for supper. Delicious!!!
Then enjoying the last show with the actors relaxed, creative and very funny! They had fun on stage , we had fun watching them! A bouquet of white and pink roses for my talented Cat! They did a great job, my girl and her talented friends!

Can't believe that this month is almost over.My Birthday month.And it is going to be Christmas soon!Where did this year go?The time flies so fast!These pictures were taken three years ago in November,2009.It feels like it was yesterday.I like the beautiful yellow and red colors and the metal blue of the river. That's why I would like to share them with you.
