Getting ready for Christmas.

It is this time of the year. Yesterday almost the whole day I spent decorating for Christmas. And I am not done yet!!! My daughter and her friend helped with the Christmas tree and baked delicious peanut butter cookies. I am glad I finally completed the idea I got from Pintrest last year. I made this Christmas tree out of a tomato plant cage and some lights from Menard's. I think it turned out great. It looks great on my porch.

Spooky times

I do not care for Halloween too much but my daughter is obsessed with it. So she was the main driving force behind this year's Halloween decorating process .
I am so proud of my pumpkins. They grew up in my little garden. This year the experiment was successful!!! I started the pumpkin plants on a window sill in March. In  May when I planted them outside they were already strong and healthy plants and no slugs could damage them. I was so happy watching them grow the whole summer. I could not believe how much joy and satisfaction a couple of plants could bring. I am so doing it again next summer.
