A lazy weekend in front of us. I need to slow down a little bit. To take a deep breath. To relax. To listen to the bird songs and enjoy the sunshine. These are pictures from another weekend. Rainy and slow. Thank god the weather cast is good for this weekend. Warm and sunny!!!

*****
It is still cold outside. The sunshine would show up for a short while and hide behind heavy clouds. The wind is nasty and kills any the desire for a walk outside.I do not know if it is just me but this winter seems to be very long.I can't wait for the spring to come and to go out with my new camera. So far I try to enjoy it taking pictures in the house. So here we go:
1.a corner in my house 2.my family's favourite soup, noodles and meatballs 3.Ashley 4.a ray of sunshine 5.a rare moment-our two cats sleeping by each other, most of the time they fight

Saturday
Busy Saturday.Early rising, short distance trip to watch her basketball games, the last ones for this school year;shopping at the mall and eating out, then back home.It was fun to watch the last two games. They did their best, they grew up a lot in comparison with the first ones.I am proud of her and so happy that she loves it.
Now I am hoping for a slow and quiet Sunday. The pictures are not from today but they describe my mood at the moment pretty good.

Giving thanks
I enjoy my little Thanksgiving vacation very much. How about you?For me it is time to slow dawn and spend precious time with my family.I think it is a special Holiday because it makes us think about the most important things in our lives. What am I grateful for in my life?I am grateful for the health and well being of my family and my own,as well;for their love and happiness; for the sunshine and the extraordinary warm fall this year, for my friends;for the farm folks who work hard in the fields so we can put food on our Thanksgiving table;for the people who helped us to stand on our feet after the flood 5 years ago,for our pets who bring so much joy in our lives...I can go on with the list but let me stop here and say: God bless all the good people/and animals/that bring so much light in our lives!
1.The thanksgiving table at Grandma and Grandpa's house2.At Grandma's house3.A Thanksgiving plate 4.Precious likes to be up to date at what is going on in the house5.Ashley likes to take naps by me when I do crafts.6.We are so happy that Hurby and our new baby boy,Scruffy get along so very well.It is fun to watch them play and popcorn from joy during their free range time.

...
I've been feeling tired recently.A lot of things to do but not enough energy.Maybe it is because of the winter and the lack of sunshine. It was warm but gloomy, this winter. The sunny days were few.I can say one of the strangest winters ever.
Now you can feel the spring in the air.The robins are already here.My daughter saw her first one last week. And we saw a bunch of them yesterday when walking her back from school. It was so warm and sunny that lots of people were out for a run, walk or a bike ride.
I feel like having some rest but there is a busy day ahead.

A Cat Reading A Math Test

Anyway spring is in the air.I can smell it.
I can feel it.It is warm and the snow is melting.
Busy, little rivers of snow water run along the curbs finding magically their way to the large rivers.
So,Happy March to everybody.
And to my Bulgarian blogofriends Happy
Grandma Marta and Happy March 3.
Grandma Marta is an ancient tradition of wearing red and white decorations made out of wool.Giving one to somebody is like wishing him or her a lot of health and prosperity. And the Third of March is the National Holiday.
And in the end of my post, just for fun ,you can enjoy out cat Ashley "reading" my daughter's math tests.
I bet she was not happy with the mistakes.

On The Sixth Day Of Blogging-Ashley

She is very sensitive and timid. She won't let you pet her, won't sit in your lap.She has something that I call ''cat's bulimia'' which we are trying to keep under control.
Otherwise she likes to be around you but at a safe distance. She likes finely shredded cheese.Maybe she was a mouse in her previous life.
I am happy to watch her play because it does not happen very often. The good thing is that she has been doing it more often recently.I guess she feels more at home now.We adopted her from the animal shelter with the other cat two years ago.
Her name's Ashley and she is 9.

This is not a skunk
This is not a skunk
. It is our cute little kitty Precious. This is her favourite pose and her favourite thing is to be cuddled and pat.She is about two years old.
Ashley is our older cat.She is 8.She is shy and does not feel comfortable to be touched very much. Her favourite time spending is on top of our dining room table. Her main concern if there is enough food in her dish and she checks on it every 15 minutes.
We adopted both cats from the animal shelter after our old cat Murphy died of old age about two years ago.
