With the kind permission of the owner of the blog I used her video as a reference. This is the first sketch. The second one I will post later because I had troubles taking a decent picture of it.

Hurray!I Am Done With My Challenge!

I am finally done with my watercolor challenge and I am so happy about that. Now I am free to start something else, like an acrylic challenge for example.
This one is watercolor number 15.I am impatient to post it because I like the way it turned out.I still have one more to post but it is a nude and I did not want to post them together.Actually the nude was the first watercolor I painted on that sketchbook but at that time the idea about the watercolor challenge was still too vague.
I am not going to post one of the watercolors because it was not very successful. That is way they will be only fourteen.Anyway completed this challenge with the satisfaction of a job well done.I learned a lot and I dare to say i improved my skills in this media.

Watercolors #11 and #12

I am on my way to wrap up my watercolor challenge. At the moment I am working on my last one but it may take a while because it is a busy landscape .Here you can see an old man with his goat and a peony in a bottle. The peonies are kind of challenging flowers to paint and I am not very happy with the shape of the bottle but as a whole I had fun painting it,I mean the painting.I drew the old guy with the goat with a blue watercolor pencil first and then painted him with watercolors.I like the way he turned out.

watercolors #9 and #10

These are the next two watercolors I completed as a part of my challenge.I did not have much time for painting the last week or so.I was too busy at my day job and also my daughter was sick for more than four days so I had to take care of her and there was no spare time at all.
In the first painting I tried to use limited pallet of colors and to achieve realistic water reflections. In the second one I was inspired by the city of Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria, which is famous for its picturesque view because its location on the slopes of several hills.I have always wanted to paint it in acrylics or oils and it will be my next project in one of this media.

The Bike Trail In Fall-Watercolor #5

I am going on with my challenge.I have a couple more watercolors ready to be posted and I am in a process of working on a third one.
This is the bike trail where I like to ride my bike in the summer. It goes along the river and in the woods and it is so pretty that I can't stop taking pictures of it.It takes care of your body and of your soul as well. After a bike ride down it you feel like a new person full of energy and inspiration.I can't wait to start biking again.I already went biking four or five times but it is still too cold and was not a lot of fun.

Apples and plums

This is another quick sketch with watercolors. I used my own reference photo. The paper is
Strathmore again and the paints brand is Reeves. I am going to experiment with better quality supplies when we go back to our house. After the flood in August last year we've been living in a FEMA trailer and I don't have much room for making art. I can't wait to go back and it is going to be pretty soon. I am going to have my own studio on the second floor. It is a small 6x6ft closet with no windows but I will be happy to have a small corner of my own for my art and my supplies.

Quick Sketch With Watercolors

This is a quick sketch with watercolors I did in May last year.I did it from life,I picked the flowers from my husbands gerden. As I did not know how much time I had available, you never know when you have a small child,I decided to sketch it right away with the brush. It has been painted on Sthratmore watercolor paper with I don't remember what brand of watercolors.

My new Art Journal

I decided to start a new blog where I can post my sketches and drawings. It is going to be my on -line art journal where I can share my observations on the world around through my art images. It is also going to be like an art lab where I can show the results of my experiments with different media. As I have a lot of sketchbooks I will start posting here with one of my old drawings. I painted that last December trying a new box of watercolor paints, Reeves, pans.I'm not very happy with the quality, not enough pigment. Good for sketches but not for a real watercolor painting. The paper is Sthratmore.
